A beautiful and super rare silver mounted and professional viola bow by Christophe Schaeffer made for C. Landon.
Christophe Schaeffer.was a good pupil of Bernard Ouchard, and is one of the best bow makers today.

The bow is certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.
As we know,there are only made a few of them.
This French master bow is made in a very beautifull example of the makers work.(made ca.  1978 - 1980) - signed by the maker.
The elegant and strong stick is made from very beautiful brownish pernambuco wood and is round shaped.
A very nice ebony frog with pearl eyes and a fine three part silver crew.(all original)
A good strong viola bow, with great balance and a good feel in the right hand.
The total length of the stick is around 72.9 cm and the weight of the bow is around 70 gr.
The bow is straight and has a good curve, no cracks or repairs.
The bow is ready to play, with used Mongolian horse hair.
Fine new winding and new dwark brown lizard leather grip.
