A fine French certified viola bow by Christophe Schaeffer.

A beautiful and super rare silver mounted professional viola bow by Christophe Schaeffer, who is one of the finest French contemporary bow makers.

This particular viola bow is one of his best works and it was made for C.Landon.

Christophe Schaeffer was a pupil of Bernard Ouchard.

This fine viola bow is certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.

This French master bow is made in a very beautifull example of the makers work.(made ca.  1978 - 1980) - signed by the maker.
The elegant and strong stick is made from very beautiful brownish pernambuco wood and is round shaped.
A very nice ebony frog with pearl eyes and a fine three part silver crew.(all original)
A good strong viola bow, with great balance and a good feel in the right hand.
The total length of the stick is around 72.9 cm and the weight of the bow is around 71 gr.
The bow is straight and has a good curve, no cracks or repairs.
The bow is ready to play, with used Mongolian horse hair.
Fine new winding and new dwark brown lizard leather grip.
