Paul Jombar violin circa 1920.

A very beautiful old French violion Paul Jombar, wearing his label, no. 19 -  1893, and made in his workshop circa 1920.

Paul Jombar (1868 – 1936) is a French violin maker born in Saint-Quentin, a commune in the Aisne department of France in 1868.
He started as an apprentice with Nestor D. Audinot.
He worked with Audinot from 1882 to 1886 then he joined Gand and Bernadel Frères in Paris. 


A beautiful shaded red-orange oil varnish.

This Paul Jaombar violin is made of good wood - with its original stamped Paul Jombar bridge,  a very nice one-piece back, very nice striped maple maple, flamed ribs and a beautiful scroll.

This French violin makes a big; well-balanced tone, suited for an advanced violin player..

This violin comes with a new set of strings and a new chinrest and French bridge, tailpiece with 4 adjusters.
