A very good violin bow made by one of the finest French bow makers of the 20th century : Louis Gillet.
Louis Henri Gillet, worked for Sartory.
This is a very beautiful and great sounding violin bow in a good state of preservation made by Louis Gillet (made for Lavest and branded on the stick).
It was made circa 1935-1940 and is silver wired, nickelsilver mounted, all parts are original, no repairs.
The stick is made from reddish brown pernambuco of superior choice, strong with an excellent balance and handling.
A beautiful crafted stick, with an elegant shaped head, a bow with a great balance and a good feel in the hand.

The frog is made of the finest ebony.
The total length of the stick is around 73,1 cm (4/4 size), and the weight of the bow is 60.3 gr.
