Human head violin circa 1890 Vogtland - One piece back.

A fine old master master violin circa 1890, well made with a very nice womans head.
This fine violin is made in the famous Klingenthal area of Germany, well known for producing exceptionally beautiful sounding instruments.
Master violas that were crafted there in this period are famous for their beautiful full sound. 
This is a very interesting instrument, 357 mm back size.

The violin in a good original condition.
A beautiful well made one-piece back of fine maple, a very elegant and well shaped scroll. 
The sound is strong, deep and warm, very responsive.

The work is quite good : fine edge work with  a beautiful original brownish  varnish.

This violin comes with a new set of strings, chinrest etc.,...

The viola produces a strong open, but warm tone.
