A beautiful old violin - made by the famous Jules Lavest - ca 1938 
A very fine violin with a beautiful reddish-brown oil varnish - origonal label and stamp.
This Lavest  violin is made of very beautiful wood - a very nice flamed two-piece back, made of, nicely figured maple, 
flamed ribs and a good carved scroll.  This violin produces a powereful and warm tone, with plenty of personality. 
The violin comes with a new set of Dominant strings and a new chinrest, tailpiece. 
This instrument comes with a reliable certificate (J. Rampal from Paris- included).
