Old master violin by Louis Collenot
A beautiful antique, and rare French violin made by louis Collenot ,made in 1900.
Louis Collenot was the Grandson of F. Caussin. Pupil of H. Caussin.
He worked for Derazey at Mirecourt 1876-1882. Assisted his uncle N. Caussin until 1889.
This beautiful violin is made after the classical Cremonese style with fine orange shaded varnish,
This beautiful instrument is wearing its original label.
The rich varnish is attractively textured ;
a very good workmanship as you may expect from this famous violin maker.
The sound of this Collenot violin is big, warm, well projected, mature ,
plenty of character. New tailpiece and strings included , no sound post cracks,
small professional repair left side table.
