A super rare gold mounted violin bow made by Jean-Jacques MILLANT - very good condition - certified by JF Raffin.
Jean-Jacques Millant (1928–1998) was an influential French bow maker of the Dominique Peccatte school.
His bows, which are strongly influenced by François Peccatte and Dominique Peccatte,
quickly enjoyed great esteem among the most highly demanding professionals.
Millant made excellent playing bows.
Millant bows function much as good facsimile Peccattes.
This beautiful violin bow is a one in its kind - the beautiful executed head is designed after the head of a piranha head.
The sublime orange-brown pernambucco stick is strong but elegant, good curve, and a good balance.
This bow plays very eadsy and produces a full , strong, and big violin tone - a prefect bow for the solo player
or the advanced player.
The length of the stick is around 74 cm (4/4 size) and the weight of the bow is c. 61 gr.
It comes with new hair and original Millant leather grip, pure gold winding. (all parts original)
