5 string Baroque cello by Eugen Sprenger.
A fine and super rare 5 string Baroque cello by Eugen Sprenger. c. 1953.
This fine German cello is currently tuned with the high E-string - with 5 new Larsen strings.
Interesting to know is, that the cello can be played between the knees like a baroque cello, but also like a 'normal' cello with endpin (endpin can be plugged in), so that it
is easy to scitch between the 2 diffrent styles of cello-playing !
This beautiful 5-string cello is in a very good condition.
The cello has its beautiful original golden-brown varnish/patina, and is ready to play, with new bridge.
This cello produces a big, warm en powerfull cello sound with strong basses, and a full singing A and high E string !
Comes with certificate of authenticity from Rampal in Paris.
International shipping.
Interesting price !
