A fine old French cello Marc Laberte ca. 1920

A very nice old French 4/4 cello, attibuted Marc Laberte atelier - with label "Antonius Stradivarius" ,
a fine example of the best French work in Mirecourt.
The cello had had professional expertise. expert- luthier mr. Taconne in Bordeaux - France.

This cello is a good sounding instrument, : an open and warm sound with deep basses.
It has high standards in choice of materials &,workmanship.
This French cello looks beautiful with its old patina of brownish coulour.
A nice 2-piece striped maple back with fine flamed maple ribs, neck, and a well made round and elegant scroll.

This cello comes with a new set of professional strings, a new bridge + professional tailpiece, new carbon endpin, and is ready to play.
The sound of the cello can be described as: a warm, and full , and open singing sound with a mature tonal timbre.
