A fine French cello, built in France, Mirecourt - Jerome Thibouville-Lamy atelier  (JTL) factory of Mirecourt.
WIth 2 original labels, model Compagnon.

JEROME THIBOUVILLE-LAMY (JTL) catered all levels of instruments, for student to serious orchestra players.

This good antique cello has its beautiful original  brownish/red varnish/patina, and is ready to play, with new bridge and strings and endpin.

Two original labels still present inside the cello.

This JTL cello produces a big, warm en resonant cello sound with strong and full basses, and a  singing  A string that sound not to sharp to the ear, but

rather warm and round.

The cello is in a good condition, no sound post cracks and ready to play.

Lob : 76 cm - 4/4 size

Free string length : ca 69.5 cm.
