A fine master violin by Grandjon père - c. 1840 Beautifull quality violin made by Grandjon père,
made in France - Mirecourt around 1840. This violin is a pure beauty fort he eye !
About this maker : Prosper Gérard (GRANDJON Père) Worked circa. 1820-1867 Mirecourt France.
Prolific maker on various classical models; well proportioned and finely made.
Good materials with various varnish colours, usually shaded. A well build master violin in a good condition - with original brand stamp of the maker. Beautiful attractive and subtly antiqued original amber coulor varnish.

This is a fine instrument to play with a rich responsive sound, powerfull with plenty of personality;
so it can be used as a solo-instrument, or as a fine study violin.

Length back: ca 33.5 cm (3/4 size).
