Outstanding sounding and beautifully preserved French violin made in France c1820 by famous Joseph Charotte.

A one-piece back of fine maple, the beautifull French scroll. 

The work is quite good, a beautiful amber / brown varnish,
and elegant outlines an fine purfling. 

This old Charotte violin comes with a new set of strings & certificate of authenticity.

Rampal certificate included.

The viola produces a strong open, but warm tone.
