A fine French cello bow made by Pierre Cuniot circa 1880 and certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.

All parts original, this is a super rare !

Beautiful brown/orange round stick, strong and flexible with a good balance, plays easy and sounds amazing.

A very nice made cello bow which is still affordable.

The length of the stick is around 69.3 cm (4/4 size), and the weight of the bow is ca. 80 g.

It comes with a new hair, new winding and grip, ready to play.

Beautiful ebony frog with pearl eyes and three part original adjuster.

CUNIOT, Pierre Born 1839, died 1884 Mirecourt France. Bowmaker. Possibly a pupil of F. Bazin. Established independently in 1873, produced mainly Bazin types, but some copies of Tourte and Lupot. Succeeded by his son Eugène. Dark brown sticks, generally round, branded: ‘CUNIOT’ [Millant/Raffin]
