Nicolas Simon Violin Bow, Mirecourt circa 1860

Nicolas Simon (also known as Simon Fr.)  one of the finest French bow makers around the year 1860.
Nicolas Simon (SIMON FR) Born 1806, died 1864 Mirecourt France. Fine Mirecourt bow maker. Pecatte school.
This bow  has a good strong stick make from rare and very beautiful unflamed snakewood, which is well known for its superbe warm tone, and good playing characteristics. 

There are no cracks or repairs on the stick.
Beautiful original ebony frog and button - all original and nickel silver mounted !
The total length of the stick is around 72.6 cm and the weight of the bow is around 61 gr.
The bow is ready to play, with new quality Mongolian horse hair and new winding and leather grip.
