This beautiful instrument is wearing its original label, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Original Ch. J. B. Collin-Mézin label which is dated and hand-numbered.
A very nice one-piece back; very symmetrical top with interesting arch of this fine French violin.
The rich varnish is attractively textured ; a very good workmanship as you may expect from this famous violin maker.
The sound is warm, well projected, mature and warm in character.
This Collin-Mezin violin responds very easily and has a well balanced tone in all the registers of the instrument.
New tailpiece and strings included.

Collin-Mezin fils took over the family's workshop in Mirecourt after the death of his father and teacher,
Charles J.B. Collin dit Mezin père.
Many of his instruments were made for his father and follow his model, but he eventually developed a more personal style.
