A precious old Italian master violin, ca. 1740-1750.

Very Lovely old violin, made after Amati, attributed to the Italian school, made in the border area brtween France and Italy.

This instrument carries quite an interetsing history ...; we could track its history back to the year 1899, and old hand-written invoices are included.

The stunning old patina gives this instrument a great look and appearance.

The detailled and fine purfling are showing the hand of a great master.

The very elegant and refined scroll shows the style of the old Italian violin makers (rear view).

The old weaven label inside read "Andreas Amati fecit Cremonae anno 1694".

It has been played professionally by a solo performer until 1985.

This old lady sounds very wel : a warm and full tone with a strong projection, not to sharp, with a

very vivid timbre and tons of personallity.

Lob : 355 mm
